The International Comics Festival and the International Project Archive d'Annunzio together to promote literature and history among school children and the province of Venice
Tuesday, December 16 at 17:00 at the Fondazione Querini Stampalia will be presented The teaching workshop "The mad flight to the discovery of Gabriele d'Annunzio", aimed at high school and middle of Venice and the province.
The laboratory, in addition to promoting the figure of Gabriele d'Annunzio and the latter's relationship with Venice, aims to make young people aware of history and literature veciolate from the cartoon, as a new means of communication. Screenplay, Technical summary and study documents, become the main tools for creating a story board.
The workshop is a collaboration between the International Festival of Comics (Veneziacomix) Archives d'Annunzio www.archiviodannunzio.it , interactive science project, expertly coordinated by teachers about thirty national and international universities, sponsored by Committee for the National Edition of the Works of Gabriele d'Annunzio, City of Venice, Department of Italian - Columbia University, Department of Art History and Conservation of Artistic Heritage - Università Ca Foscari, Department of History of visual arts and music - University University of Padova, the Italian Vittoriale Foundation, created by the Veneto Region and Netlife Codess Ltd and Culture.

After the study day dedicated on 11 November, the Ateneo Veneto and the Centro Culturale Candiani, the figure and work of the Venetian writer, now Pi Erre - Renato Pestriniero is suitable for his artistic activity, with a choice of 12 works from the period 1972-1976. Less well known but very original, compared to fiction and science fiction novels, the contribution of Pestriniero as the author of paintings of singular intensity and cutting metaphysical, offers guidance and suggestions to the language remarkable illustration of the comic.

Pestriniero Renato was born in Venice, where he lives and works in the July 9, 1933, is married and has a daughter. Until 1988 he was head of department and foreign correspondent at the Venetian branch of a multinational Swiss inspection and certification

The Venice Art Fest, organized by Veneziacomix and making use of general management and Emanuele Fabrizio Capigatti Tenderini and the artistic direction of Frank Verni, in fact wants to return to Venice attention and love for the comic, from the '50s until now, has made the central city in the short and intense history of this art by authors such as Hugo Pratt, Dino Battaglia, Giorgio Cavazza. Prince
protagonist of the first edition is Milo Manara, the Italian comic book artist best known to the world, who will attend the Foundation Querini Stampalia with the exhibition "New Dreams", from 13 December to 11 January. The exhibition has the advantage of showing the public more than three hundred tables, pictures and oil paintings have never been exposed before now, and most of them, completely new in Italy. Among these are the pages of "46", the comic strip written and Valentino Rossi in the riders is a protagonist, as the saga of "Borgia" written by Alejandro Jodorowsky, and strips of "Pandora", unpublished comic strip drawn on screenplay by Vincenzo Cerami. Especially for this exhibition, Manara ha dipinto l’illustrazione della locandina, una sensuale gondoliera dark, e alcuni quadri ad olio che raccontano Venezia e che si inseriscono nel progetto del “Pittore e la modella”. Spazio anche al teatro con le illustrazioni di Manara per l’ultimo spettacolo di Riondino e la locandina acquerellata del musical teatrale di Enzo Iacchetti “Giacomo Casanova - La notte dei posteri”.
Il festival vero e proprio si terrà il 13 e il 14 dicembre all’Ex Palazzo del Casinò del Lido di Venezia (programma completo su www.venicecomicartfest.com). Tra gli autori che animeranno questa tre giorni tra spettacolo e fumetto ci sarà il maestro Sergio Toppi, al quale sarà consegnato un premio alla carriera, Giorgio Cavazzano, maestro Disney nel mondo, lo stesso Milo Manara e Gianfranco Enrietto, disegnatore dei Gormiti.
Tra una tavola rotonda sul collezionismo nel fumetto, sessioni di autografo, presentazioni e un incontro dedicato da Ca’ Foscari alla “Letteratura e fumetto” si potrà assistere (il 13 alle 18) anche ad uno spettacolo di cabaret per beneficenza al quale parteciperanno comici visti a Zelig.

Margherita Lipinska nasce in Polonia dove consegue la Laurea in Pittura presso l’Accademia delle Belle Arti di Danzica. In seguito si trasferisce, in Italia, dove consegue la Borsa di Studio in Storia d’Arte, presso l’Università La Sapienza di Roma. Attualmente vive e lavora a Roma, dove svolge anche la professione di decoratrice d’interni.
In questa nuova raccolta si palesa l’evoluzione dell’attività artistica di Margehrita Lipinska.
I lavori in mostra sono improntati ad un’idea di magnificenza tutta romanica e greca, espressa attraverso la grandiosità e l’isolamento di elementi classici. Per la prima volta incide e lavora su particolari umani, quali teste di statue, busti di donna e volti, che si raccontano in maniera velata e timida tra le tinte calde delle tele di Juta e supporti in plexiglass . Margherita, in questa occasione, si rivela al pubblico attraverso una lettura personale della figura umana in modo da farci arrivare ad un sublime sentimento di grandezza dell’antico passato dove moderno ed antico si combinano in un perfetto equilibrio, conciliati dall’utilizzo di cromie a tinte profonde, oro, incisioni e pensieri scritti.

Salvator know English to Lecce at the prestigious gallery Ligth & Fashion open inside Palazzo Francesco Forest, a counterpoint to the secular culture of the nearby church of San Matteo. Salvator, dancer and choreographer for over twenty years, has always dedicated his life to art and the study of space, lives in New York for several years and worked with major dance companies. About a year ago he decided to move away dal palcoscenico e dalla scena e di dedicarsi alla pittura. Ha da poco intrapreso un nuovo percorso artistico, in realtà già iniziato nel corso della sua carriera di ballerino e coreografo, conservando uno sguardo sempre attento ed istintuale allo studio degli equilibri e delle misure tra materia, pesi, corpi e la loro relazione con gli spazi.

Come è avvenuto questo cambio di tendenza artistica, da ballerino, coreografo a pittore/scultore?
Ho sempre sentito dentro questa passione, che ho maturato guardando e osservando intorno tutto ciò che poteva aiutarmi a creare: in scena, sul set, sul palcoscenico e dietro; fino a che, circa un anno fa, è finalmente venuta fuori. Lo ricordo as a moment of liberation.

You were points of reference in this field when you made this choice?
Actually no. It 's a world I'm discovering and I do it with enthusiasm even though I have always frequented the environment .. Then the meeting with the artist Marcelo Bottaro, was decisive and fundamental. Having known someone so authentic, rare and professional, who has always dedicated his life to painting, encouraged me showing me the way of the approach surface. Having always worked with muscular tension as an expression of human interiority, the surface is something that tends to come off. I do not fear, I try to study, observe and compose the material that I add on, I am curious, there dialogue, but when I arrive at the "dead time", not creative, then I stop and wait until we return in empathy. My approach is instinctive, emotional matter, I try not to rationalize the creation, to let me go and follow my intuition.

How would you define this in your first stage? A figurative?
No. At this stage I am facing a series of studies and themes that will be on display next to my staff who will be inaugurated on November 6 which deal with certain objects, shapes, compositions made by studying the materials and combining them in a dialectic through space. I realized
places astratti, astrazioni di paesaggi e sequenze di elementi o piuttosto animali, soprattutto pesci ed aironi. Utilizzo dei materiali di uso comune decontestualizzati, dove la figura che viene a crearsi ha un suo substrato di significato intrinseco. Sono figure che appartengono ad un mondo onirico, che fluttuano, che si materializzano, attraverso l’uso di elementi e parti che nella realtà hanno un uso completamente diverso.

Che materiali utilizzi?
Uso di tutto. Solitamente, almeno in questa fase, parto da una base bituminosa, sulla quale inizio a comporre, con l’aiuto di pezzi e di qualsiasi cosa che trovo: fibre naturali, materiali plastici, metalli etc, a cui unisco, a volte, colori acrilici. Lavoro con la tecnica dell’ action painting e non uso quasi mai il pennello. Insomma per lo più compongo, taglio, macchio, incollo, brucio, fondo, cercando di conservare un gesto istintuale.

Parlando della tua prossima mostra, c’è dunque un tema predominante che affronterai rispetto ad altri?
Come ho detto, con questa mostra espongo una serie di studi tematici, sulla base dei quali continuerò a produrre, non ce ne è uno predominante. Esporrò circa 22 o 23 opere.

Cosa è l’arte per te?
L’arte è disciplina, comunicazione, è estetica, and anthropology, and transformation, suffering, joy ... I am many things. It 'still not something essential to the impoverished. The artwork must contain an alchemy of many factors. Venice is a city of art. From cinema to painting, from architecture to dance music. In
Venetian art scene but there is now a void that wants to fill VENICE COMIC ART FEST: comics.
A void that contrasts with the history of Venice, a city that gave birth to the world's most important teachers of graphic novels: Hugo Pratt, Dino Battaglia, Romano Scarpa and Giorgio Cavazzano, just to name a few.

The Comic Art Fest Venice now wants to be a regular event and of prime importance for the art of comics. Not a festival but a general point of reference worldwide.

On 12, 13 and December 14 Venice will host exhibitions of original plates, developed in the venues of the Foundation Querini Stampalia, the former Casino del Lido, Forte Marghera in Mestre, in a side of music, entertainment and culture.
