Salvator know English to Lecce at the prestigious gallery Ligth & Fashion open inside Palazzo Francesco Forest, a counterpoint to the secular culture of the nearby church of San Matteo. Salvator, dancer and choreographer for over twenty years, has always dedicated his life to art and the study of space, lives in New York for several years and worked with major dance companies. About a year ago he decided to move away dal palcoscenico e dalla scena e di dedicarsi alla pittura.

Lo ricordo as a moment of liberation.
In fact I often made of compositions with objects, parts and materials found in the dressing room or on stage, then they give away or simply left them.

create today what it means for you?
And 'take courage, without compromising their frustrations with the pain and the excuses that are constantly to be what we are. It can be frightening to leave their certainties, their field, but once noted, comes the courage to choose to act and then finally to break free.

You were points of reference in this field when you made this choice?
Actually no. It 's a world I'm discovering and I do it with enthusiasm even though I have always frequented the environment .. Then the meeting with the artist Marcelo Bottaro, was decisive and fundamental. Having known someone so authentic, rare and professional, who has always dedicated his life to painting, encouraged me showing me the way of the approach surface. Having always worked with muscular tension as an expression of human interiority, the surface is something that tends to come off. I do not fear, I try to study, observe and compose the material that I add on, I am curious, there dialogue, but when I arrive at the "dead time", not creative, then I stop and wait until we return in empathy. My approach is instinctive, emotional matter, I try not to rationalize the creation, to let me go and follow my intuition.

How would you define this in your first stage? A figurative?
No. At this stage I am facing a series of studies and themes that will be on display next to my staff who will be inaugurated on November 6 which deal with certain objects, shapes, compositions made by studying the materials and combining them in a dialectic through space. I realized

L’arte è disciplina, comunicazione, è estetica, and anthropology, and transformation, suffering, joy ... I am many things. It 'still not something essential to the impoverished. The artwork must contain an alchemy of many factors. Be open to receive it and when it happens and how to renew, broaden their experience, to transcend the everyday to another that can add meaning to life.

ANTONIO TAMBURRO in GRAFFIO NEL TEMPO

OPENING THURSDAY 'October 23 19:00
6th Sense Art Gallery
Via the Maronites 13/15 - Rome (historic center)
23 October to 23 November 2008

6th Sense Art Gallery opens its exhibition space with the exhibition of Antonio Tamburro "Scratch in Time", curated by Aldo Carrozza . The exhibition will last production of the master including some unpublished works in large formats. The exhibition catalog will be present in the gallery, the critic by Aldo Carrozza. In recent paintings Antonio Tamburro forward with greater force the energetic use of color that emerges from the canvas in a scathing and incisive, as well as a more obvious pictorial summary that gives a framework to yield immediate and striking, with results very close to painting 'abstraction. So writes Aldo Carrozza. "The paintings of Antonio Tamburro you are watching now. Figurative oils are the plots of which are subject to mess around with surprising energy centripetal. They are large canvases painted with technical backgrounds and broad gestures, innervated by vibrations from discontinued lines and soft contours and offset, where the grays and blacks predominate, even spatula, divide the space with red, blue and yellow and are broken by flashes of light icy and magma, which emerges asymmetrically - with relatively small - the subject as a body win the fight between light and shadow. " The paint is scratching Antonio Tamburro, dynamic, hard-hitting and as the title of the exhibition not only shows the appearance purely technical - expressive of his works but also the symbolic one which is reflected in the subjective view of that reality: the one generated by total chaos and disintegration that inexorably tends to tear and scratch our society from within, in the system. The symbols of consumerism and of the cryptic signs that the artist put into his paintings evoke the graffiti underground, testimony and indelible mark left by man over time. And it is precisely in these works that Tamburro wants to make his mark, his indelible scratch painting that not only covers our time, but exceeds it.
